2007 Season

District Nominations for the 2007 season.

Nomination Forms for the 2007 district development program will be available in June and July, these forms can be found on the coaches page under coaches stuff. please use coach tab above. Nomination forms are for use by school teachers and club coaches. If you are a player or a parent that feels that you or your child is of district development potential, please contact you club, coach or school teacher and direct them to this page and click here.

The nomination assessment form should only be completed and returned by a competent cricket coach. We are keen to hear from boys as well as girls.

Cricket New Forest hope to introduce cricket to 9 and under 9 year olds. These players will be assessed during the season. I am placing a guide below and on the relevant age group pages, to indicate the standard we would like to see from players nominated to district.

Assessment guide for all ages. click here.

Under 9’s
The assessment would be instructional and the ability to improve would be assessed.
• Enthusiasm
• Good Striking Ability
• Rudiments of a basic bowling action
• Co-ordination

We are currently trying to secure funds and sponsorship for the future of Cricket New Forest. It is my hope that with this money and the early notification of nominations we may be able to offer an assessment program for players over a prolonged period rather than the system in place at present. If successful we will be able to reduce the development fee for next year.

If you are interested in sponsoring part of Cricket New Forest please get in touch.
